The mission of EGUSD FIRST Foundation is to cultivate community partnerships and equitable opportunities for EGUSD students to flourish
The EGUSD FIRST Foundation is a nonprofit that is partnering with the Elk Grove Unified School District to focus on improving resources for students and teachers. The EGUSD FIRST Foundation was established to inspire dreams, expand realities, and secure a prosperous future for all students, families and teachers in EGUSD. Its name reflects its mission—FIRST stands for Focused on Improving Resources for Students and Teachers—underscoring the foundation’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities, strengthening classroom support, and ensuring that both students and educators have the tools and resources necessary to thrive. The Foundation raises funds to fill gaps in resources for students and teachers by supporting EGEA Educator Grants for teachers, and various initiatives and projects such as Newcomer Welcome Centers, STEAM activities, Visual & Performing Arts and Family Teacher Academic Teams. The Foundation collaborates with local businesses and organizations to provide additional services and resources to the community and intentionally support our most vulnerable communities to ensure they have what they need to achieve success.
