The 2025 Illumination Celebration was an incredible success, bringing together generous sponsors and an amazing community on September 18 to support our mission of strengthening partnerships and creating opportunities for students throughout the Elk Grove Unified School District. We were honored to welcome Bill Cartwright, EGHS alumnus, former NBA player, and author of Living at the Center, whose inspiring keynote reflected on his life and career. The evening also featured meaningful remarks from our board, including a touching moment when Superintendent Hoffman was recognized for his commitment to the creation of the EGUSD FIRST Foundation, along with wonderful appetizers and desserts from Sinful Treats.
Students and teachers shared how raised funds have transformed their classrooms, reminding everyone why this event matters. The night concluded with an exciting and energetic performance by the Cosumnes Oaks High School Hype Dance Company, leaving guests inspired and uplifted.
